TWO GOLF COURSES

Cherokee Village offers two great golf courses that are kept in immaculate condition. The North Golf Course is a beautiful 18 hole course designed by John Cooper and built in 1963. The beautiful South Fork River divides and borders the entire course and adds scenic views to the challenging play.

The South Course is also 18 holes and ranges in yardage from 5270 to 7058 with four sets of tees. The course was designed by renowned golf course architect Edmund Ault from Bethesda, Maryland. Golfweek Magazine ranked the South Course 4th in courses that allow public access in March 2004. Golf Digest described Cherokee South as, “A hidden diamond in Arkansas, beautiful mountain course, great design, bent greens and zoysia fairways, greens are very good, a long challenge with sand and hills, need every club, nice scenery, quick play, not crowded at all, terrific staff and friendly atmosphere.”

Both Golf Courses offer beautiful surroundings and challenges that include both sand and water. The El Toro zoysia fairways and the Tifdwarf bermuda greens (over seeded with bent) are always in great shape.
